We are looking for entertainment to provide a festive atmosphere during the November 2nd reception. We are open to ideas and welcome contemporary approaches in honoring this day.

We recognize the economy has limited the dollar amount many can use to sponsor. Our objective is to include as many as we can in the art of making a successful reception. Sponsorship is available in many ways. In the past sponsors have: contributed to our huge banquet that’s free to the public, sponsored individual artists with monetary contributions, and larger businesses have purchased wall space for their business logo. If you are interested, please contact CISA Studio with the contact information provided in the press release.

About the Day of the Dead (Dia De Los Muertos):

The celebration occurs on November 2 in connection with the Catholic holidays of All Saints’ Day (November 1) and All Soul’s Day (November 2). Although the date was set by Pope Urban II in 1095, the celebration dates back to pre-hispanic Mexico. The holiday focuses on gatherings of family and friends to pray for and remember friends and family members who have died. Traditions connected with the holiday include building private altars honoring the deceased using sugar skulls, marigolds, and the favorite foods and beverages of the departed and visiting graves with these as gifts. Due to occurring shortly after Halloween, the Day of the Dead is sometimes thought to be a similar holiday, although the two actually have little in common. The Day of the Dead is a time of celebration, where partying is common.
