More new Bills and a special guest

Some more new Bills...

And H painted this Graffiti stencil:

Post No Bills interview

As a result of this episode, my partner H and I were interviewed by The Grid's David Topping.  All sorts of juicy secrets are revealed, such as the location of the very first Bills and the cost per square metre of construction hoarding in Toronto...

Since they asked nicely...

In a follow-up to the last post, these are less than a week old:

Post ALL the Bills!

June, 2011. Photo by Jeff Stewart

I was surprised to stumble upon this set of the Post No Bills recently at Bay and Grosvenor. I remember being disappointed when we painted them back in 2008 because the Bill Murray stencil broke, yet these may be the last of our Post No Bill stencils up in Toronto right now. Here's a brief timelapse via Flickr:

The "POST NO BILLS" text was pretty faded from the start, so someone added "Post no bills" in chalk, which gradually faded away as well. But now, over the chalk and the original prohibition:

You may be familiar with the meme.

The "Post ALL the Bills!" stencil (artist unknown) can also be found on a number of construction hoardings around Yonge and Wellesley in Toronto.  To the artist: we agree!

Post no bills go to Vancouver

I remade the bills from scratch and got them up in one spot near Granville.  Not sure how long they lasted.

Post no bills

My first stencil, created in 2002.  My friend H had the idea and I did the design, and then we built and installed them together.  Something similar was done in Toronto before, but we were unaware and did our version independently.  It has also been done since.  We claim no ownership of the idea, it's just a silly pun.

These were the very first ones we did.

These are from 2005.

Bill Murray was updated a few years ago.

Many people have taken photos of the bills over the years.  Here are a few:
